On December 3, 2021, our Chairman and CEO Eric Trappier signed a contract to supply 80 Rafale F4 fighters to the United Arab Emirates Air Force. The signing ceremony was attended by French President Emmanuel Macron and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan , Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces.
The contract includes an intergovernmental agreement aimed at ensuring close cooperation between the French and UAE air forces, as well as the creation of a joint program team dedicated to future Rafale development. This agreement underlines the long‑standing strategic partnership between France and the UAE.
On January 25, 2021, Greece signed a contract for 18 Rafales, including 6 new aircraft and 12 from the French Air and Space Force. Six months later, the first 6 aircraft were delivered. A further 6 new Rafales were ordered in March 2022.
