A contract for the purchase of 26 Rafale fighters by the Indian Navy was signed on April 28, 2025 in New Delhi. India will be the first country to deploy the Rafale M and the first country, besides France, to operate both the Rafale Air B/C and the Rafale M.
In February 2026, India’s Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) authorized the beginning of direct negotiations for the purchase of 114 Rafale aircraft for the Indian Air Force.
On January 29, 2025, Éric Trappier unveiled the first Rafale manufactured for the United Arab Emirates Air Force at a ceremony attended by French Minister of the Armed Forces, Sébastien Lecornu, and UAE Minister of Defense, Mohamed Bin Mubarak Fadhel Al Mazrouei. This aircraft is currently undergoing development tests in Istres.
